Mission

The mission of the Deaconess Ministry is to assist the Pastor by working with the Deacons in ministering to the spiritual needs of the overall congregation; cooperating with the Pastor and Deacon Board in visiting members and non-members of the Church; assisting in the preparation and administering of the ordinances of the church. We reach out to help the community through our involvement with Essex Churches Together, Operation INASMUCH and the Christmas Mother Program.

Goals

• To minister to the congregation and those seeking God
• To visit and commune with the sick and shut-in
• To prepare female candidates for baptism
• To participate in church ministries
• To diligently study God’s Word
• Prepare communion
• Serve when and where needed
